IITRAM Introduces CYBERWISE–2025: A Workshop for Information Security Professionals Focused on Cybersecurity

The CAWACH Kendra, Government of Gujarat–supported CYBERWISE 2025, organised by the Cyber Club of IITRAM, convened leading researchers, industry experts, and academicians to explore emerging challenges and cutting-edge innovations in the field of cybersecurity. The workshop began with a dignified inauguration ceremony. Dr Prasun Tripathi, Coordinator of the Cyber Club, IITRAM, welcomed the delegates and introduced the aims and vision of the workshop. Prof. P. K. Jain, Director General, IITRAM, addressed the gathering with an overview of the institute’s academic achievements and research initiatives in digital technologies.

The Chief Guest, Prof. P. H. Rughani, Dean, School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, NFSU Gandhinagar, delivered an insightful address highlighting contemporary challenges in cybersecurity and the growing need for skill development in this domain. The Guest of Honour, Prof. Archana Gondalia, OSD, CAWACH Kendra, Govt. of Gujarat, discussed various initiatives undertaken by CAWACH Kendra to promote cyber awareness, responsible digital practices, and community outreach. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr Ramnarayan, Associate Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IITRAM, who acknowledged the contributions of dignitaries, speakers, faculty members, students, and volunteers.

Over the two days, CYBERWISE–2025 featured keynote addresses and expert sessions by eminent speakers, including Mr Shahnawaz Abdullah (CBI, Delhi), Dr Jay Teraiya (NFSU, Gandhinagar), Dr Nitin Awathare (IIT Jodhpur), and Dr Parag Shukla (Kaushalya Skill University). Their talks covered a wide range of topics such as mobile security, web security, blockchain applications, digital forensics, and threat mitigation strategies, providing participants with valuable theoretical insights and practical guidance.

An industry demonstration segment led by Biz Secure Labs showcased real-world information security challenges and practical approaches to managing cyber threats, further enhancing the workshop’s experiential learning component.

CYBERWISE–2025 successfully enhanced cyber awareness, encouraged responsible digital practices, and strengthened participants’ understanding of practical cybersecurity issues, marking a strong beginning for the Cyber Club at IITRAM.
