IITRAM Ahmedabad and CIPET Sign MoU to Strengthen Academic, Research and Skill Development Collaboration
Ahmedabad: The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, and the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Government of India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic interaction, collaborative research, skill development and technological cooperation.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Jain, Director General, IITRAM, and Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha, Director General, CIPET. Senior officials and representatives from both institutions were also present during the signing ceremony. The collaboration aims to establish a synergistic framework for cooperation in Petrochemicals, Plastics, Polymers, Chemical Engineering and Science, Material Science, and other allied areas of Engineering, Technology and Science.
Under the agreement, IITRAM and CIPET will facilitate joint guidance of student projects and theses, participation in academic programmes and events, collaborative research initiatives and joint project proposals. The MoU will also encourage the exchange of faculty members and technical personnel, along with the organisation of joint conferences, seminars and other academic activities. The partnership further provides opportunities for practical training of IITRAM students at CIPET centres, enabling students to gain exposure to industry-oriented technical environments and applications. It also includes provisions for eligible CIPET scientists, officers and project staff to pursue postgraduate programmes at IITRAM.
The representatives of both institutions expressed their commitment to developing a productive and mutually beneficial partnership that creates new opportunities for students, faculty members, researchers and technical professionals. The MoU is expected to strengthen institutional cooperation between IITRAM and CIPET while creating avenues for collaborative education, research, innovation, skill development and industry-oriented technological activities.
The partnership brings together the academic and research strengths of IITRAM with CIPET’s expertise in petrochemicals, plastics, polymers and related technologies, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives in emerging areas of engineering and technology.
