The Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla has reached a remarkable milestone by becoming the fastest Indian Major Port to handle 100 million tons of cargo in the current financial year 2025–26. This achievement, realized well ahead of prior fiscal benchmarks, showcases the Port’s outstanding operational efficiency, strong cargo-handling abilities, and smooth collaboration among all stakeholders and port users. This remarkable milestone places DPA Kandla at the leading edge of India’s maritime growth narrative, solidifying its status as the country’s most dependable and performance-oriented gateway for EXIM trade.
Reaching the 100 MMT milestone ahead of schedule highlights DPA’s consistent upward trend and its capacity to manage growing cargo volumes across liquid, dry bulk, break-bulk, and container sectors. This accomplishment bolsters India’s ambition for world-class port-led development under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision, paving the way for new opportunities in trade, logistics, and industry along the western coast. With this success, DPA Kandla reaffirms its status as India’s leading Major Port, excelling in speed, scale, and skill.
