Around 200 cadets from 22 states undergo intensive drill training ahead of the October 31 celebrations in Kevadia
Ahmedabad : Around 200 cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) from 22 states, including Gujarat, have begun intensive parade drill sessions in Ahmedabad under the aegis of NCC Directorate Gujarat to prepare for the upcoming Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at the Statue of Unity.
The cadets are training alongside contingents from the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Following 10 days of integrated training, the cadets will participate in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations on October 31, 2026, at Kevadia, Gujarat.
The culmination of the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) will showcase India’s cultural diversity, traditions and heritage, bringing together cadets from different states. The programme aims to foster friendship, mutual understanding and a strong sense of national unity among the youth.
The celebrations at Kevadia, against the backdrop of the iconic Statue of Unity, will commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, whose vision and determination played a pivotal role in the political integration of the nation. Through SNIC and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the NCC continues to reaffirm its commitment to nurturing disciplined, responsible and united youth under the guiding spirit of “Nation First.”
